AMG alloy wheels
AMG alloys are named in Roman numerals. They are sometimes preceeded by "style" (English) or "styling" (German), but we choose to omit this because it can sometimes be interpreted as being associated with fake replica wheels which you should NEVER fit to a GENUINE Mercedes-Benz vehicle.
AMG I alloy wheels - 5 spoke
AMG II alloy wheels - 5 holes
AMG III alloy wheels - 5 thinner spokes
AMG IV alloy wheels - 5 twin spokes
AMG V alloy wheels - 14/16/22 spokes

AMG Company History

Mercedes-AMG is a performance tuning company now owned and operated by Mercdes-Benz. AMG specialise in taking Mercedes branded vehicles and then enhancing and improving both their performance and styling. AMG Cars are typically much faster, have more powerful engines and are generally considered to be sportier editions of Mercedes vehicles. Other improvements include interior and exterior styling, alloy wheels, body styling & trim, suspension and handling improvements.

AMG was originally an independent company set up by two former engineers from Mercedes in 1967. The company was created with the aim of designing and building racing engines, and this is how the company began. Its founders Hans Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher christened the company AMG Motorenbau und Entwicklungsgesellschaft GmbH. In English this simply means AMG Engine Production and Development) AMG Stands for ‘Aufrecht Melcher Großaspach’. The G from AMG comes from the city that Aufrecht Melcher was born in - Großaspach near Stuttgart, in southern Germany.

As AMG grew it gradually shifted focus and started developing aftermarket tuning packages and accessories for Mercedes vehicles. This included vehicles produced in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s like the Mercedes-Benz W126 and W201 models. The 80’s also saw AMG introduce the first version of the 15” & 16” AMG five-spoke alloy wheel.
